Alta Vista is bordered by five other neighborhood associations: Beacon Hill to the west, Monte Vista and Tobin Hill on the east, Five Points on the south, and Edison has a tiny corner on the North.
The neighborhood lies in a narrow corridor bounded by the Union Pacific Railroad on the west, West Hildebrand Avenue on the north, and San Pedro Avenue on the east. West Myrtle Street is the southern-most border, turning to North Flores Street north to Hickman Street, then over to the railroad. The neighborhood also includes San Pedro Park in the south; go to fspsp.org to learn more about this historic and beautiful area. Click on the map to the right to show a larger view of Alta Vista.
